One thing's for sure: the Euro is on its way!
Whether you love it or hate it, the Euro is past the point of no return.
Here are the Euro milestones:
01/01/1999: The Euro is introduced as the common European currency, and the irrevocable exchange rates are established
by 02/01/2002 the latest: The Euro takes over from the previous currency as the legal tender
Before the previous currency ceases to be legal tender there is a transitional period in which both means of payment can be used.

Have you considered how telecommunication costs will be affected?
The new single European currency is on everyone's mind. In business, the controlling departments are working overtime to create checklists to make sure no details are missed when the changeover takes place. Telecommunication represents one of the most significant cost factors in your company. Of course, you know this already and that is why you are using a professional software-based cost management system. And to help you keep track after 1 January 2002, we are busy preparing your data for the Euro.

What changes will the Euro bring?
Of course, the Euro will involve certain changes in communication controlling. These include the following:

  • All carrier tariffs will be converted into Euros
  • Billing on the basis of tariff pulses will involve greater inaccuracy

What can we do?
First things first: in principle, all versions released after the change of millennium support multiple currencies, so they are already Euro compatible. The main thing you need to do is adjust the carrier tariffs. After all, we guarantee that the software works correctly but only if you have supplied it with the correct input data. This is particularly important in the case of calculations spanning a period containing data from before and after the currency switch.

As part of our service commitment, we also provide additional features to help you with the Euro changeover.

We have prepared a Euro check for each product, explaining in detail exactly what you need to do, and where, to make sure the software continues to work properly after the change:

100% Euro: Tariff subscription via Internet update
In 2001, the average life expectancy of a carrier tariff was 3.5 months. This, along with switch to the Euro, is quite a burden in terms of updates. The good news is that we do the updating for you. With the tariff subscription, the latest tariff table is only a mouse click away on the Internet. 100% Euro, of course!
